Question:

Not sure how to word the question?

I keep trying to write poems, and have something in mind, but they all end up being about my ex... help?

♦The time I waste just to say goodbye,
♡makes me want to cry.
♦Soon you'll forget but I just can't,
♡looking at things through a slight slant.
♦I want you, I need you, I want to believe you,
♡but it's so hard to do.
♦How long till this goes away?
♡I think about it every day.
♡I wish I would have ran
♦Cause I thought that this had ended but then you called again

That's the most recent poem.. I just wanna know how to get back to writing simple, regular, not about him, poems.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I hear that you don't want to write about him anymore! I even see it in the first line: "The time I waste just to say goodbye..."

You need to refocus your attention. Yet, not on another man or boy or male-type person! Refocus.... Look around you! What inspires, who inspires you from your life now? Try and find inspiration from the here and now! That will help you get over him and help your poetry grow and florish in a more positive way!

Now that I am done counciling about your life, let me take a look at the poem. It is okay! It starts out well... it has a good middle, and then kind of peters out at the end. It has promise, but just remember to try not to force the rhyme : ) Good effort; keep on working!
