Why is it easier to help others than yourself?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I don't know for sure exactly what it is, but I get more enjoyment out of helping others.
I figure I can help myself when I do this anyway, so. It is always easy to help others because it brings me joy and joy helps me feel good.

No it isn't, this is an edit. I shut my computer down and rethought this.
Helping others is voluntary, not a requirement. We do this because we choose to.
Helping yourself is required, and therefore, not always pleasant. It can become mundane, such as brushing your teeth, knowing you need to shower, get check-ups.
