But I'm not sure exactly what to get from there. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You're going to have to get a mixer with a USB or Firewire output. Behringer makes several, also Yamaha etc. For acoustic drums you'll need one with at least 4 mic imputs (more would be better). You don't really need special drum mics - Shure SM57's work fine - One on the snare, one in the kick, one left near the tom, one right near the other tom or ride cymbal. This will be mixed down to stereo - you'll have to experiment with levels and pan to get a good mix. Your drum tracks will be a stereo pair in your 8 or 16 tracks. Behringer 1204 or 1222FX, Yamaha MW10 - Alesis MultiMixUSB. |
