Who can transfer negatives from glass plates to other media.?

I have a number of negatives of photos taken between 1890 and 1913. They are on glass plates. I would like to get these transferred onto some other media. Is there a specialist who could do this? Any info re technique or info re shops in the UK would be welcome.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: We inherited a box full and scanned them onto the computer with a normal scanner, which worked OK. Since they will be mostly black and white you can scan them at a high resolution in black and white and the files arnt huge, but you still keep some quality (obviously prints from the glass plates will be better than you will get with scanning and printing, but depending how large a print you make, you might not notice the difference (if you want, say an A1 size print you might))
