Question:

What is the play "Don't Say NO to the U.S.O about???

Help! I'm doing this play and I have no idea what it is about. I need some songs in it, what it is about, and other important main ideas.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I am stabbing in the dark, but here is my best guess:

U.S.O. stood for Universal Service Oganization, a group of Entertainers who were hired by the USA to entertain Servicemen during WWII. "Don't Say No To The USO" was a rallying cry.

Think Patriotism, 3-part Harmony, Olive Drab, Cute Little Campaign hats,Saxophones, Bob Hope, and Cheer Cheer Cheer!

Way before your (or my) time. It was a time of hope, and of resolve. We were fighting for our very right to exist, as a Democracy. It was, indeed, The Last Good Fight.

WE WON!

Afterwords, we f**ked it up.

Sorry
