Question:

'The Trap' - ok, how silly is this poem?

For so many years
I??ve watched so many lovers
Never thought I??d ever
Fall myself into this

I try to analyse
I try to understand

It seems to me there??s something
Then it seems to me it??s not

It??s too slippery
Or maybe it??s only playing with me

It??s too risky, I know
Yet I am too curious
To leave it alone

Was it a trap you??ve set for me?
Will you ever set me free?

You may want to look at this line, the syntax seemed clunky:

Fall myself into this

And "it's" seems wrong--switching from there's to it's is jarring in the below example.

It seems to me there??s something
Then it seems to me it??s not

Again, I do think the poem is good.
