Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Out of all the politically correct names we have given people Native American is the most appropriate. I know I stand at the door of blasphemy but I think Columbus discovering America is the most overrated accomplishment in recorded history. He landed in the wrong place. He claimed a land that was all ready inhabited. He named said inhabitants the wrong, and then wanted to take them and sell them as slaves. Yet somehow he is a hero. I think I'll head to Hawaii in a rowboat and stake my claim. Maybe, they will make me king.
