Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: One of my all time favourite Romanitic Novels has to be "Ramona" by Helen Jackson. I loved it when I read many, many years ago and have loved it since.
Also any book by Dorothy Eden. If you can get "Never Call it Loving" you will love it.
One of my favourite writers, Daphne DuMaurier, is a must to read if you like Romantic Novels.. My Cousin Rachel, Frenchman's Creek, Jamaica Inn, are all modern classics.
Santa Montefiore is also a real good Romantic Writer, try reading her "The Forget-Me-Not-Sonata", and "The Swallow and the Hummingbird".
Johanna Lindsey, Julie Garwood, Rosamunde Pilcher, Belva Plain, Beatrice Small, Teresa Medeiro are all great Historical Romance Writers. I have read many of their books.. Enjoyed everyone I read.
Danille Steele, "The Kiss", "The Promise" "Jewels" and "Answered Prayers" are all very good read if you are looking for a good modern Romance.
Andrew M. Greeley does not write Romance, but "Star Bright" is a short and lovely Romance in the same kind of style as Nickolas Sparks "The Notebook" and "The Wedding". Also try reading Andrew Greeley's "A Christmas Wedding" and "Irish Eyes"
Try getting a copy of "The Bridge of Madison County" by Robert James Waller, you will love it, if you love Romance. It will stay with you for a long time.
I have read Kristian Hannah and I love her books, one that is real special is.. "The Enchantment.. You will love it.
Of course you can always read the Classics by Emily and Charlotte Bronte. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is a Classic and must read. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is also one classic you cannot miss.
Tess of the D'Urbervilles, by Thomas Hardy is a classic I just loved.
Leo Tolstoy, "Anna Karenina" is also another must read Classic as is " Madame Bovary" by Gastave Flaubert.
I know I have given you more than one Romantic Novel but I had so many that I could not stop. I have read many novels, and thought you might like some that I have picked for you..
