Can the metadata show whether the Auto setting or a particular Scene mode was us

Question:

Can the metadata show whether the Auto setting or a particular Scene mode was used with my Nikon Coolpix 7900?

I open photos with Nero and as far as I can see the file information given for ??Exposure Mode?? and ??Scene Type?? are not the places to look. Any help appreciated.

I'm afraid I don't have Photoshop. Would like to stay with Nero for the moment as its more than adequate for my usual needs.
